What did you do this past week?

I haven’t had any big assignments due just yet, which I’m thankful for, but I did have to do a short writing assignment for my improv class. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get it done, but fortunately I managed to pull through! Otherwise it was just going to lectures, although going to classes through Zoom while also on campus feels kind of wrong.

What’s in your way?

I have yet to start the project, but I’m sure that I’ll be able to get it done considering I did Collatz in OOP. I don’t have much Python experience so I’m glad to at least familiarize myself with the very basics with this project!

What will you do next week?

I actually have an interview on Tuesday, which I’m both excited and nervous for. It’s supposed to cover some object-oriented programming topics so I’m going to need to refresh myself on that in these next couple of days, so I’ll be sifting through my code from 371p.

If you read it, what did you think of the Paper #2: Makefile?

I think I understood it pretty well, and was hopefully able to provide a lot of good answers to the other people in my group. Thanks to Object Oriented Programming and having to read through and edit Makefiles for each project!

What was your experience of assertions, unit tests, and coverage?

They all seem like pretty standard stuff. I like the Python version of unit testing as opposed to Google Test for C++.

What made you happy this week?

I ran my first session in what’s hopefully going to be a long-running D&D campaign, and I think it went really well! My players did a great job of just roleplaying with each other while I just got to sit back and listen, which is definitely a good sign.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

Are you going to the career fair this week? I actually wasn’t aware it was this Wednesday, but since I’m a senior, and I don’t already have a job lined up for after graduation, I think I need to go.
