  • What did you do this past week?

My Geology class wrapped up this week for some reason instead of this next week, so I had to take out last 2 finals (lecture and lab), but I’m relieved to not have to worry about it this upcoming week.

  • What’s in your way?

Well it is the last week of school, so there should be plenty of projects and exams to work on.

  • What will you do next week?

I need to finish Life and a project for my other CS course.

  • If you read it, what did you think of the The Joel Test?

I think that most of the points will be useful for school projects even though the Test was meant for actual workplaces.

  • What was your experience of virtual and dynamic binding? (this question will vary, week to week)

It’s somewhat strange that dynamic binding isn’t the default mode in C++, as I can imagine a situation in which static binding would be useful, but I suppose it does fulfill C++’s goal of giving the programmer more control.

  • What made you happy this week?

I’ve been really excited to finally get to play in a new D&D campaign that I joined.

  • What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

Consider working on a personal project this summer. Think of something that will be fun/useful to you, and in return you’ll get to add something to your resume for next year’s job/internship search.
